“Time for us to hit the hay.”
She moaned a bit in retaliation, but after a bit more prodding, she got to her feet and wobbled up the stairs to her room. Redtube “Sorry to hear that, Sare-Bear,” he started as he put down the empty bowl he’d finished in about the same time it took to heat up. She let it coat her tongue, appreciating the flavour and then leaned forward so it would all gather in one place again, before titling her head back to swallow. “Yeah, and what if they aren’t really your friends?”
Her dad gave her a wicked smile back, “Then who cares what they think, screw ‘em!”
Despite her bad mood, that comment got her to exhale hard through her nose, almost a chuckle.
